Modified Schedule Starting Monday 12/11/2023

Phase 2 of the renovation will begin tomorrow Monday, December 11. The renovated gym will have more mat space, more lockers, additional showers, individual changing rooms, new lighting, and more. Due to space constraints during construction, come to class prepared. During the renovation, the gym will have a modified schedule (see below).

Don't forget to take advantage of our end-of-year sale on memberships, merchandise, and equipment. Today is the last day $100 in free merchandise is included with the one year membership. More information below. We greatly appreciate your patience. Thank you!

The Strength Room


We have some very exciting news to share. Construction on the gym is well under way. By October we will have double the mat space, new equipment, and a new lifting room - The Strength Room.

The Strength Room will be a dedicated personal training gym for trainers to grow their businesses and train their private clients. Each reservable lifting station will be fully equipped with the latest Rogue training equipment. When not in use, Chicago MMA members will have access to use The Strength Room.

With double the mat space, we will have double the classes, including new dedicated MMA classes and new morning and afternoon Muay Thai and grappling classes. The new schedule will be released by the end of September. 

If you know any trainers that are interested in renting space or just want to learn more, send them to us using this email address support@chicagomma.com.

New Membership Management System starting on Thursday 8/24!

You will need to do the following steps before you can schedule/book a training session!

Existing Members

Step 1: Download the app.

Step 2: Your account has been started for you. Click on ‘Forgot Password’ and enter your email to reset your password (the same email address that was used with your MindBody account). You can also change the email address used as the login after resetting your password.

Step 3: Check your email and reset your password and Login to your account with your new password.

Look in your spam/junk mail folder if you don’t see the password reset email message.

Step 4: Update your Profile

  • Review and check and verify that your phone number is correct. Please add your phone number if this information is not currently available as we will need this for in-app notification, ie class cancellations or general news about the gym.

  • Add an emergency contact or your profile picture & any additional details.

  • Your payment information might not have made it over onto the new system. Please update your payment information if it is missing.

  • SAVE YOUR CHANGES

YOUR EXISTING MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT BE READY UNTIL THE MORNING OF THURSDAY AUGUST 24, 2023. Please DO NOT try booking classes until that time.

Chicago MMA will host leg lock wizard and UFC Champion Matt Serra black belt Jason Rau for a masterclass on attacking the lower body. Jason is widely known as one of the most knowledgeable and technical leg lockers in the world. In a recent Lex Fridman podcast with the B-Team, Nicky Ryan called out Jason Rau as one of the best out there. 

After earning his black belt, Rau started training more regularly with John Danaher in New York City (Danaher was a training partner of Matt Serra's for many years at the Renzo Gracie Academy). Jason quickly climbed the ranks of the Danaher Death Squad (John’s elite group of students), and would go on to compete in many high profile events such as Kasai Pro and the BJJ Fanatics Grand Prix.

For a sneak peak, you can find Jason's instructional videos on Youtube. In addition, Jason has released some instructional on BJJ Fanatics.
 

You can prepaid by sending a Venmo payment for $75 or $100 at the door.

We would like to congratulate the members of our jiu-jitsu family promoted today. Not many people in the world are willing to put in the work and make the sacrifices to truly learn a combat art. Starting Monday, April 4, Chicago MMA will relaunch our Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program for kids ages 5-9 and youth ages 9-13. The programs are designed to introduce students to martial arts in a fun and safe environment.
