I love the culture at this gym. It's friendly and accessible, but a lot of actual fighters train here so you're getting very real experience. I've trained with Seng the most but have nothing but positive things to say about all the coaches I've had.
Coming from a more workout focused gym its a different experience holding pads and light sparring opposed to just bag work. You learn a lot from more experienced students and stuff that seems good on a bag doesn't translate to an opponent. I look forward to continuing to improve my fighting skills here.
I can't say enough great things about Chicago MMA. I'm almost 40 now and in the best shape of my life and still improving. I've also made some great friends and had some great times. The instruction and coaching is top notch. I've become a new and better person since joining this gym. Don't hesitate, just do it.
I've been going to Chicago MMA for a decade; and that is because we have skilled instructors and students who want to learn and get better. It's an environment where the beginner can feel good on their first day of training and for the experienced to get pushed to their limit in preparation for a match.
